[Blackjack] Deck generation

It says in the rules that the decks are generated randomly

Does this mean that a number of traditional 52 card decks are randomly sorted or that a load of random numbers make up a deck

i.e. could a deck concievably contain only aces for example

traditional 52 card deck:

Quote:
The cards will be represented with numbers. 1 means Ace, 2-10 means 2-10, 11 is Jack, 12 is Queen and 13 is King. Suits are irrelevant, so cards from all suits will have the same numbers. So, each deck will contain 4 each of 1-13.

Yeah, but the quote wasn't specific - just says what cards look like, not what deck looks like

Soz to be so pedantic. Just wanted to be sure.

In regard to your comment about moaners (some other thread) never entering I should point out that the number of winners for each contest vs the number of entries make it almost a cert you get summat. So attn moaners - entering is defo a good idea

Then again - although I keep starting these things I've never entered (work keeps on getting in the way) - this time... (I hope)

That's why I would recommend building the most basic script you can first and then adding to its functionality. That way, if the deadline hits...you have something to turn in that works

Exactly my plan this time...

Usually end up doing all the testing and theory then not have enough time to finish the darn code

I always thought testing was done AFTER coding

Not in the case of some of these

Algorith testing

If you've got several possible solutions to a part of your solution it's quick to write a little testbed to see what works best
