What script must do if there will be something like that:

And we try to remove last column.

It will be so?
123X
234X
311X
455X

Or so?
123X
23XX
311X
455X

Or it will be how script decide?

From the rules:

Any tile of the same type adjecent to those adjacent tiles are removed, and so on.)


so the correct one is

and if you use this one

you probably get disqualified ;)
