Graphical display of 500 pancakes?

In the rules, Matt says
"The input file will contain at least 50 lines but no more than 500 lines."
How are we expected to represent each move if the pile of pancakes can be as high as 500 discs?
Either Matt is going to receive (dynamically generated) huge html pages with astronomical big piles in them, or he clarifies if for display purposes, smaller piles 'could' be used.

In my particular case, and forced by my lack of graphical talents, I will revert to simple text output, but right now, the rendered html page seems too big for practical purposes.
