we are allowed to have more than one file (and/or folder) in our zip right? ie. image files.. ?

Hmm, i was under the impression we couldnt use images. Your rules state that we can only use HTML/PHP/CSS which is what I currently am doing. Any graphics should be generated using GD and not from any prefabs you may have. This is a PHP challenge after all.

I need to know if i can use external image files.. or i've only to use GD for generating graphics.

Yes, I agree, so you should use your PHP skills to generate some graphics that are a little more interesting. If people are allowed to use prefabs then you'll get someone creating a bunch of great looking tiles, writing a little PHP and having a nice looking maze.

Static images are all part of good solid hard work and web design skill which is, afaics, the actual goal in this exercise.. kapeesh?

The title shouldnt be PHP Coding Contest then. You can still make asthetically pleasing graphics purely from code.

please, can someone of the contest staff, tell me, if i can use external image files like gif or jpg or png ? Or i've to make graphics only by using GD..
I've made the script assuming that i can use some external graphics ...
