I really never thought that my script is so good. In my tests it really depended on the lands at the beginning, how good my script conquer the world.

I'm very happy that I made the first place.
Again, thank you for this great contest.
I read that I can choose 3 prizes.

My first choice is definitly "PHPEd". I hope it's as good as everybody says.

My second choice is the "any book from O'Reilly". (I'll send you the name of the book with email)

My third choice will be the "one year subscription to php|architect".

Hi,

Timothy Ruhland here. Like Mario, I am a bit in disbelief that the "nomadic horde" did as well as it did. I had another day's worth of work to get it to where I wanted it, but life got in the way.

It was fun working on it...thanks for all the help with the sample scripts, judging script and the board display too. I am looking forward to trying another contest in the future, time permitting of course.

Anyway, I will take Macromedia Studio MX.

Martijn Laarhoven here. Sorry about the delay. I didn't read the forum for a few days.

I had a lot of fun thinking about different kinds of strategies to conquer the world but in the end I didn't have a solution to all problems so I decided to go for as simple a script as possible.
This simple script was designed to become second in every game hoping to get enough points to go to the next round. I thought that maybe this would work the first round, but winning the semi-final and becoming 3e overall was not really what I had expected.

As a price I would like the Zend Studio so next time I can try make something more sophisticated.
