[Risk] semi-final round
Just wanted to point out that the preferred method for placing the "survivors" in future rounds is 1-4-5-8 and 2-3-6-7, though based upon the premise that you were trying to give 1-2 a cake walk into the finals I can see the logic behind 1-2-7-8 and 3-4-5-6.

I think 1-2-7-8 is best... I believe this is called ironman seeding. Though it's been my own experience that if too much luck is present, 1 and 8 might actually be closer than expected!
