RE: score

That would be zero points. The scoring is as follows:

Playing a card from stock to the tableau - 5 Points.
Turning over a card on the tableau - 5 Points.
Playing a card to the foundations - 10 Points.

In the situation you describe, you are not playing from stock, to a foundation, or turning over a card.

RE: score

I think that the scoring needs to be revised. In the case of moving a card from the stock to the foundation, you only get ten points for properly playing the move and moving the card directly to the foundation. But if I move the card from the stock to the tableau, and on the very next turn to the foundation, I get 15 points. There should be 15 points for moving from the stock to the foundation. Or some other way of penalizing a move that a normal user wouldn't perform (like above)

RE: score

Actually, that seems quite reasonable to me, and moreover it adds some interesting complexity to the problem. (You need to figure out an algorithm that gets the cards from the deck to the tableau whenever possible, rather than moving them directly, but also you need to work out when it'd be sensible to move them directly to the foundation.)

My only worry about the scoring is that it's theoretically possible to fail to complete a deck, but get more points that someone else who managed it. I think. Although I've yet to see such a circumstance, having played through something like 2,000 random decks.
