Scrabble
Maybe I overlooked it in the contest rules, but do standard Scrabble rules apply wrt adjacent letters in parallel words also having to form a valid word?

Also when starting off on the first word must you start with the word running through the middle tile of the board, like scrabble?

no...the only basis around scrabble is the idea...only the rules you see on the contest page apply...

So we're not forced to create a bunch of two-letter words out of two adjacently vertical or horizontal words?
