Weighting - No. Puzzles vs Short Path
Just wondering what the relavtive weighting of shortest paths to number of puzzles solved... how will the result be determined.
ie. is 30 solved with bad paths better than 20 with perfect paths ? How long does it get to run for ? |

RE: Weighting - No. Puzzles vs Short Path
the faster it solves(runtime) the better seems to be the rule. and the script should only take 30 secs

Not exactly ... there is a rule stated that a script should take no more than 30 seconds per a puzzle, not per 200 puzzles. Then in extreme conditions script would take 200*30/60=100 minutes. ;-) |

RE: Weighting - No. Puzzles vs Short Path
Mine does each puzzle in about 250 moves with ~10 seconds per puzzle...
I'm confused - is in 30 seconds for each puzzle, or 30 seconds for all 200? |

RE: Weighting - No. Puzzles vs Short Path
30 seconds for each puzzle..not for all 200.As per makler's post, you would 100 minutes for 200 puzzles.
