Cache_Lite and PEAR 1.8.1

Cache_Lite and PEAR 1.8.1

Hi !
I have on my server PEAR 1.8.1 installed which seems to be the lastest stable version.
But when i try to install Cache_lite 1.7.8 i receive the following message :

Quote:

pear/Cache_Lite requires PEAR Installer (version >= 1.5.4), installed version is 1.4.9

I have tried differente things like

Code:

pear upgrade PEAR

Code:

pear upgrade --force PEAR

without success

Do you have any idea of what i'm doing wrong ?
