RE: domain search

most (but probably all) whois services require a captcha or whatever you call it where you have to type what it says in a barely legible image.

so.... unless you want to write a script that can interpret the pixels of a mega-screwed-up image and read letters/numbers from it, be my guest.

lol

RE: domain search

have you tried alexa.com? Not exactly what you need - but it may have an API for you to work with.
