Error installing new packages throught the Frontend
When i try to use the frontend after installing pear on my webserver using go-pear.php. I get the following error. Any ideas as to why this error relates to permission denied.
failed to create /usr/local/lib/php/.tmpAuth.php: failed to open stream: Permission denied How can I upload packages using the frontend? Dustin |

RE: Error installing new packages throught the Frontend
Sounds like the web server doesn't have permission to write in that directory....

RE: Error installing new packages throught the Frontend
I was thinking that but the path name is not a directory I have setup pear in.
For example http://www.somedomain.com/libs/go-pear.php this is were I setup pear... So the front end is located in this directory structure http://www.somedomain.com/libs/index.php --- this is the frontend...! so why it is asking to setup in ----- /usr/local/lib/php/.tmpAuth.php I have now idea!!!!! And in my directory structure there is not lib/php/ folder....Maybe this is why it wont work... What do you think about me doing this... http://www.somedomain.com/libs/lib/php/ ---- create this folder structure... maybe this will work or maybe I do this.... http://www.somedomain.com/lib/php/ and see if that works but .... Why should this work? Shouldn't the frontend recognize the path structure to the pear installation and accomadate? I dont get this? Dustin |
