Pear ITX or Smarty
As a path forward, I am thinking about using the Pear extensions whenever possible in new code, just because it is included with php and that looks to me like it will end up as the foundation classes as php goes forward. Is this the general idea that most are going with, or is it just the db related stuff that Pear has the lead on?
Just trying to figure out where to focus my attention. |

RE: Pear ITX or Smarty
well, as much as i agree about using PEAR, i would go with Smarty for a template engind.
but don't trust me. look at this two tutorials/articles, and decide for your self: http://codewalkers.com/tutorials/36/1.html http://www.phparch.com/issuedata/2003/feb/sample.php |
