PEAR on a variable drive
Hi,
I want to install PEAR on a USB stick together with my apache/mysql/php so I can use it on whatever (windows) computer I work. Problem is that the drive letters I get on each computer might vary... is there away around his? I tried using absolute paths /web/server/php5/PEAR etc, but they didn't work. Especially when using the extra command line tools o certain packages. Anyone have experience with this? Does anyone have a REG file with all environment settings to be set in the registry for paths etc... needed for pear? Tnx Jeroen |

The PEAR installer uses absolute paths, and changing these paths is not really supported currently. This might change with PEAR2.
But: If you use the installer only on one system (for updating, installing new packages, ...), you could still access the PEAR files on the other systems (by setting the right include_path value). |
