PEAR on a variable drive

Hi,

I want to install PEAR on a USB stick together with my apache/mysql/php so I can use it on whatever (windows) computer I work. Problem is that the drive letters I get on each computer might vary... is there away around his?

I tried using absolute paths /web/server/php5/PEAR etc, but they didn't work. Especially when using the extra command line tools o certain packages.

Anyone have experience with this?

Does anyone have a REG file with all environment settings to be set in the registry for paths etc... needed for pear?

The PEAR installer uses absolute paths, and changing these paths is not really supported currently. This might change with PEAR2.

But: If you use the installer only on one system (for updating, installing new packages, ...), you could still access the PEAR files on the other systems (by setting the right include_path value).
