Two PEAR's installed?
I installed PEAR several months ago to use with my WAMP5 installation, that PEAR install is located in c:phppear. I installed Gnope yesterday to start playing with php-gtk and noticed that it installed PEAR as well. Now when I bring up command prompt and go into c:phppear to bring up pear I get the following message:
------- Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. C:>cd c:phppear C:phpPEAR>pear PHP_PEAR_PHP_BIN is not set correctly. Please fix it using your environment variable or modify the default value in pear.bat The current value is: C:phpcliphp.exe;C -------- My guess is that I have to uninstall one or the other, since I don't use the original PEAR I installed I could uninstall it. I will, however, need PEAR for php-gtk apps that I plan to create. Any comments or suggestions? |

RE: Two PEAR's installed?
doh, I just noticed that it was the php.exe path not PEAR. Anyway, I'm about to uninstall my PEAR from c:phppear and use only PHP-Gtk2's PEAR installation.

RE: Two PEAR's installed?
I haven't figured out how to uninstall PEAR. There is no uninstaller and I don't know how to do it from the cmd line.

RE: Two PEAR's installed?
I just deleted the pear stuff and made everything in c:php relating to pear look like the original php zip that I downloaded that included pear. Then I used run>regedit to take out everything relating to pear's registry settings, being careful not to mess with anything else listed, especially under "PATH." Then I reinstalled Gnope and everything is good to go.

RE: Two PEAR's installed?
You can try :
"pear uninstall PEAR" it uninstalls something but i don't know if that's what you want. |

RE: Two PEAR's installed?
uninstall PEAR IIRC uninstalls the PEAR package - which is the base of all the packages
