Forum Software suggestions

Hey there...

I am starting a project where I need to implement a forum, and I wanted to ask if anybody has some suggestions as to which one would be adviseable (PHP + MySQL).

I am not expecting a lot of traffic to begin with, but that may change in the future.

I originally wanted to use phpBB, but I have heard that there are security concerns.

So I wanted to ask what other good possibilities there are, or if they phpBB security concerns are "real".

Thanks in advance,

Anurag

RE: Forum Software suggestions

I'm late, but here it goes:

I always have used phpBB2 and I love it. It is strong and secure. As long as you get the newest version (2.0.21 I think) you will be fine.

RE: Forum Software suggestions

FUDForum... one of it's main developers is a PHP Security expert and one of PHP Core developers.

I've heard nothing but good things about it.
