News block in nuke - comments/read more not directing properly
I'm hoping I have found the right forum for this question:
Our host moved our site to a new server, with many problems...only one remains - in our phpnuke (v. 7.8) news blocks, the "comments" and "read more" links no longer work. In IE browser you just eventually get a timeout error, in firefox you get this: "The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." Can anyone tell me which file I should be looking at to find this problem? Also, they switched us from Nuke 7.9 to 7.8 during the move...could this have caused it? I'm not getting any line errors or anything useful :/ Any suggestions? Thanks! |

RE: News block in nuke - comments/read more not directing properly
I have a similar issue!!
I've posted about this at a couple of nuke forums with no solution yet... so I'm hoping since I have found someone else with a similar issue - we can fix it together! I am running phpnuke 7.6 patched with NukeSentinel(tm) 2.5.02 The issue stems from the news module. At times, the links to the full news article from the index page where I have the module located as the main index page module, will not open, but hangs instead and ends up giving me the following error Mozilla Firefox (and just keeps trying to resolve in explorer). Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies I've done everything to do with cookies and there's been no change. Again the problem occurs at odd times during the day and sometimes for up to a few hours at a time. My server host has pointed me to this string which is actually for post nuke but it does not help me. http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=...&page=2 I'm not sure what to do, apart from relocating the site to another server with a different host to see if that fixes the problem - but then it would be waste of time $ and resources if its something to do with nuke itself. |
