There are a number of scripts that use the name "claroline". To get any help, you would need to post a link to script's web site.

Are you able to correctly run other scripts that use PHP/MySQL?

Your version of mysql is somewhat out of date. It is possible that the claroline script you are using relies on features that are only available in newer versions of mysql. The script's web page or its' documentation should list the minimum requirements needed.

Also, check your web server log files for errors that would indicate what is happening.

Since this appears to be your development system, turn on full error reporting in your php.ini to help you find if there are errors occurring that would cause the script to not work.
