Strange results from phpBB board in Google...

I hope this is the right place to ask this question, if not please forgive me, I'm totally stumped!

On a board on which I am a user we have a problem and I'm trying to help the board moderator find out what is happening. This is the story... one of the users entered a query into Google and one of the results led back to the board but instead of giving the thread or post involved, it brings up a reply box quoting the original message in the thread.

On asking on the phpBB support forum our moderator was told to disable Guest posts, and that "For some reason it [Google] guessed that was the proper place to send people." Now I know computers are getting more advanced, but I hadn't realised that search engines could make guesses like that!

This is the first time we have come across this problem (I have used and am admin on several phpBB boards myself) and we cannot figure out why this should happen. Is it a bug in phpBB script?, is it purely that someone was trying to write a reply at the exact second that the Google robot indexer passed by?, is a database corruption?, or what?

The techie stuff for this is that we are running phpBB, the search string put into Google was Franckhauser glass, and the result that is causing the concern is this one:

Any help would be most appreciated to figure out what is happening, and once again I hope this is on topic for this forum. Many thanks.

Cheers!
Anne
