"browscap ini directive not set"
I want to capture some client side information during authentication by using get_browser() but I get a warning....
"Warning: get_browser() [function.get-browser]: browscap ini directive not set. in c:Inetpubwwwrootblah..." Here's a sample showing the function call... Here's the php.ini directive for browscap... [browscap] browscap = browscap.ini The latest version of browscap.ini (for php) is downloaded from http://www.GaryKeith.com and placed the file in the c:/php directory which is the same location as the php.ini Windows user (EVERYONE) has Read permission on that directory. Running Windows XP Pro SP2 IIS 5.1 PHP 5.04 Checking elsewhere it looks like this is a problem that cropped up for some people with PHP 5. Is it a permissions problem or what? Thanks. |

RE: "browscap ini directive not set"
Isn't there a simple javascript method that lets you check the brower type?

RE: "browscap ini directive not set"
Pfft!
I was still dreaming that PHP could do everything! You just broke my bubble! LOL I will go look around for some javascript. btw, extracting any $_SERVER still works. Guess I could parse HTTP_USER_AGENT on my own. Ha. |
