php5 - Exchange between 2 server using ftp

Dear all;
I have to move more than 1 GB files from a server to another server.
is there any way to transfer them without download on my personal computer?
Can I do that using ftp functions?
please specify me the way.

being that it is such a large file, I would suggest using an actual program (like executable) or else you will run into problems with php timing out, hitting some sort of max_file_size or some other config problems. PHP probably isn't the best at transferring files that large.

But there is no 1 file. There are more than 500 files and the total size is large
