Forum thingy

Ok I am trying to build a type of Request for Quote (RFQ) feature for my site where I or my business partner can put out an RFQ and recieve bids. I am having trouble trying to figure our how to make it possible to have a way for the bidders to submit a message that is only viewable by me, and for me to be able to view all the bidders messages in one page like in your typical bulletin board program, but still be able to reply to one, and only that bidder have access to see it. Yes this would be easy to do by email, but I want it all online so if I change it later to include more than just me, such as other companies, it is all in one place.

Any suggestions?

You are talking basically a private messaging system. Just have a sender and recipient attached to each message, and when pulling messages to view, just make sure that you only pull messages where the current username equals the recipient. When you reply, just reverse the sender and recipient of the message you are replying to....
