hi! i need a free or low-price pdf-creation-solution for php. the free version pdflib has this watermark on the pages (can't this be disabled?) and the licensed version is too expensive.
does anyone knows an alternative tool?

There are a couple of classes that are available that I know of, try:

R&OS
FPDF

A perfprmance hit, of course, but easy to use. Also valuable to those who don't have control over the server.
