Good (and free?) php IDE?
Hi,
Well, I'm using Dreamweaver MX right now, which is nice when I'm also doing design work, but I'm starting to miss the features of a REAL code-editor :O Eg, no auto-indent, no auto brace-matching, etc. The only thing it does have is basic function reference (when I type a function name, it will actually show a small pop-up with the names of variables expected). So, are there any IDEs that are good and free? I know of Zend's Studio version 2, for personal use... I haven't tried it, though, because it seemed to be missing some nice features of the full 2.5 version. |

I use edit plus with a customized set of files.
Not exactly an IDE but I like it. |

I agree with EvilivE. VI or VIM now the same thing VIM is VI Improved. You will not have any funkie problems with unseen carrage returns or anything and best of all :set nu Line numbering make finding errors a breeze Real Cows "VI" Join the herd using anything else is udderly crazy.
