I hate this!
First off, go here, you'll need it to understand what I'm talking about.
Lets say I wanted to make a PHP code that would make updating that incredibly easy. Like if I wanted to change the menu on all of my pages, I could just change one page and it'd be applied to all of them. Would this be hard work? Are there any scripts already like this? Keep in mind I'm a newbie and don't even have a book on this.

thats very easy to do, just make your menu with all the links and stuff on one page, and name it like links.php or something, and then wherever you want the links to appear, type
php Code:
and then if you change the links.php file it will automatically update the rest of the pages
