Trim space behind only a specific variable
I've looked at trim and rtrim but haven't been able to come up with anything.
I'll be using excel to put data into columns, and it will be output in text tab format. Text tab format will will look like this when viewed in notepad. prod123--- Product 123--- This is the description--- 14.99 (notice the extra space) --- is the delimeter I need to use for my mass import of products to the cart. How could I say $delimeter="---"; trim only the spaces behind $delimeter so that it looks like the following... This is what I need prod123---Product 123---This is the description---14.99 (my import can't have extra spaces in between the fields in the .csv file note* there isn't a need for --- in the last column behind price I can copy/paste the whole notepad contents into a string variable if that is needed in the function. Theory (just not sure how to tie it together in the function to remove the spaces in between --- and the 1st letter of the next column) $delimeter="---"; string="prod123--- Product 123--- This is the description--- 14.99"; Thank you for any help! |

str_replace("--- ", "---", trim($string))

Thank you for the reply! The following worked. PHP Code:
It seems that the text tab format in excel is a little quirky when viewed in notepad(adding extra spaces not needed), but you're post helped a lot. |
