View on screen and/or download
I am admininstrator for a site with a document manager. I wish to allow users to either open or save-as (download) a posted document. It appears that the saveas /open dialog box is a product of the browser. because it works with my IE 6.0 but not with Netscape or even at times with IE 5.5. Any ideas? I am using PostGreSQL as my database.

RE: View on screen and/or download
i'm not aware of any ways you can invoke that option with php alone, how about just telling them to right click on the link?

RE: View on screen and/or download
yes, it can be done. u just have to send the right http header. look at the tbl_dump.php file of the phpMyAdmin. it has some good comments...
