Apache & IIS
I have already installed Internet Information Server (IIS) because I have WinXP PRO. Do I have to install APACHE as well to use php and mysql?
I think that all I have to do is to install php and mysql without Apache. Is that correct? Thank you |

RE: Apache & IIS
That is correct, PHP and MYSQL are not dependent on Apache. In fact MySQL is not dependent on a webserver at all. Make sure you follow the PHP installation instructions for Windows carefully as it will save you a lot of headaches.
P.S. I will be deleting your post in the php coding forum as it is a duplicate. |
