build php5 cgi

In order to use PHP5 on my host, I have to build my own cgi binary. I've always used the installers before and don't have a clue how to do this manually in Unix.

The php.net documentation on cgi installation is pretty sparse (http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.commandline.php). Any pointers?

Thanks,
Ursus
