Daft mistakes - Now I'm in trouble...
I feel strange *asking* a question now, but He who asks is a fool for five minutes; He who does not ask remains a fool forever, as they say. Plus, he who has a dodgy setup and does not ask becomes frustrated and keeps that dodgy setup.
For some reason, Apache (Or ADVX1.3 to be precise - it came bundled with my Linux (MDK9.1) OS) stopped working, and apachectl (advxctl) wouldn't run the httpd executable, so I download Apache 1.3.29 again and install that. I added the Loadmodule section for PHP from my old conf file, and now Apache is sending PHP files as the correct mime type (x-httpd-php), but only my browser thinks it would be a good idea to prompt me to *download* as opposed to the server telling PHP to parse through it. PHP is installed properly, I've been using it on my (old) Apache seutp for months. I just need to be reminded how to get it working with Apache 1.3.29 again. |

RE: Daft mistakes - Now I'm in trouble...
I've recompiled Apache and after working out why apachectl start was dying on LoadModule php4_module mod_php4.so, I now have it dying elsehwere.
It seems like it's loading the php4_module fine now, but inside that, there seems to be an error - Quote:
So I guess this is one of those 'You're on your own' moments now? |
