Help! Can't install php5!
I just got my new pc :d, and I'm trying to install php5 and mysql on the apache2 server I downloaded. I'm not sure at all where to start, and could really use a thorough tutorial/walk through on this. I'm not a beginner at php, I've just never tried installing it. Thanks

At sitepoint.com (www) you can download the first 4 chapters of Kevin Yank's book 'Build your own database driven website using php and mysql'. I did and the installation instructions were great. I used it to install on both windows and linux. It has instructions for installing apache, php, and mysql for linux, Mac, windows nt (2000, etc) and special instructions for win 98.
I will probably buy the book, even though it is for php4 and I am using php5, it was still really really helpful.
