Help me help someone else
I'm building a site for my team at work, but it is being moved off of the server I was devloping on to a different server (which does not have PHP on it....gasp!) I have yet to talk to anybody at work who really knows PHP so I'm trying to help the owner of this never server load PHP on, but my knowledge is VERY limited. He downloaded PHP 4.3.2 (tar.gz) and then sent me an e-mail that said this......
"I downloaded the source code, but since I am not a programmer, it may take me awhile to compile and install it. If you can help me create the binaries, then I can install them." Well, I have no idea how to create the binaries, or even what that means, but I would like to help him out as much as possible seeing that he is installing PHP to this server specificly for my project. Any thoughts? |

RE: Help me help someone else
I would like to help this guy compile the binaries, but I'm not sure what exactly that intales. Could someone either give me an explanation of what that is and how to do it or point me towards a good resource?
