intranet installation
I know this is a total newbie question but i hope someone can help.
i want to have php installed on LAN server to make better use of my company intranet, however some said that it was outward facing and poses a security threat because it needs IIS. Someone else mentioned setting it up as a CGI script. The server is connected to the web by broad band, but i just want someone to set up a php and sql database system that is totally contained in the intranet.
An answer would be great, a full explanation would be an amazing help if someone has the time. Thanks in advance.
