Multiple Apache/PHP instances?
Hello,
I have a working installation of PHP 5.1.4 and Apache 2.2.2 on Solaris 10. My question is I would like to run mulitple Apache instances on the same machine i.e. /usr/local/apache-instance1 /usr/local/apache-instance2 /usr/local/apache-instance3 Do I need multiple installations of PHP? Or should I just compile Apache the same and copy across the libphp5.so library to the <instance root>/modules under the new Apache instances and update httpd.conf? Is there a best or recommended practice for this? Many thanks in advance, Dan |

RE: Multiple Apache/PHP instances?
not sure if this helps but,
i've two versions of apache installed on my server, both using the same php module. i don't run them concurrently, just one at a time, and there are no problems with php. |
