Need away to test my SQL & PHP

First before anything else...Is there a simple way to test my site to work with PHP & MySQL?

I will read my post more closely, be more clear with my future msgs posted..

I am the person continuing to try getting your calendar code to work! Thanks for being nice and helpful

I thought I could just copy all the files to the host directory and and go..

Sorry to be a pain in the rear.. I am newbie, I have simply used PHP on my website to increment a text page counter and install a script to send mail()

But I have not use PHP & MySQL together before with a script.

My webhost said PHP is version 4.

My webhost subscribe or set me up with mySQL ver 3.23 for my URL.. So i suspect the server is okay

I have used MySQLAdmin to just look at or created tables on my web host..

I have not run PHP & MySQL app before..

chmod is.. about setting R/W attributes on files and directories.. and is mostly Unix command..

But for my host..they have a 'Control Panel' that lets me set or checkbox a WRITE attrib to the 'Calendar' folder on my website

I did not install a older version of this calendar but only downloaded the older version to look at what your config.php data look like... sorry for the giberish!!!
