php in windows 2000

I have installed php in my windows 200 system using the installer downloaded from php.net i installed in c:php. After i install and try to take a php page in c:inetpubwwwroot (i am using iis) i am getting errors in the page. My static texts are coming in the page. No php code is working
I think installion is failed. Please help me
