Hi everyone, I have just been introduce to php. I have got a windows2000 server, but I am not sure as to what to do to enable the server to recognised php scripts. can someone please send me some basic instructions as to what to do..

Hi Bob!

Do you have php installed on your sever?
http://www.php.net/download/

Download the "windows binary"...

You'll find installation instuctions in the file 'install.txt' (comes with php).

I would suggest downloading and installing both apache and mysql onto your machine, rather than using IIS. i've seen some rather interesting issues with php/iis..

just my 2 cents.

I have to agree with CmdrDats on that.

You find the apache httpserver at:
http://httpd.apache.org/

and the mysql database at:
http://www.mysql.com/downloads/index.html
