winsock.dll unusable. 1009

I am running Windows2k, IIS and php 4.2.2.
After running fine for some time, now I get teh error: "winsock.dll unusable. 1009" on alle php-pages

Anyone seen this?

I have expanded the original winsock.ddl fra the CD's reinstalled SP og php, with no effect.
