Is this even possible?
Is it possible to "un-compile" a java applet? Coz there are so called hackits on the web, pages with simple password protections that are meant to be hacked. I'm solving a serie of them at http://scifi.pages.at/hackits/ and on level 13 I collided an impossibe (or so I believe) one.

It is a java applet that checks a password. The password isn't there as a param tag on the web page, I need to hack that applet somehow. Is that even possible?

Try searching for Mocha. It's meant to decompile Java.

notepad, the're cheating you. See the url for the javascript file? It doesn't have http:// in front of it which means you've downloaded a wrong file

I got stuck on Level 15 (the one that wrongly says it's level 14 - uses a http auth whatsit - can't get to the .htaccess or password file).

Anyone manage to get past that one?

well I feel stupid, I cant even get past 8, the one where it takes your respose, and makes a url out of it. Crap.

Opps, nevermind. Nothing like figuring out a password than completely bypassing it.

I went up to 8 in a matter of minutes; It may be optimized for IE, but instead running two Konqueror widnows (one set to KHTML view mode, the other set to Embedded Text Viewer) helped.

Could use a slight hint on #8, though.
