Trying to make a tournament in HTML....and I'm lost

Hey ya'll. I'm trying to create a tournament for a website. The tournament is a single elimination format, similar to the NCAA March Madness, but consists of 2,048 entries. For each match, I would like a drop box between the combatants....that way viewers can select who they think will win. Can anyone assist, or guide me to the right place where I can receive the appropriate help? I know this is advanced stuff, that's why I came here for help. Thanks, hope to hear from someone soon.
