RE: Webcams and php
Well, I've never setup a webcam before and know very little about how to do it.
So I think I am asking, what do I need to make a webcam work? and I guess from your reply it has very little to do with php... |

RE: Webcams and php
If you just want to run it you dont need to use php however if u want to include it in a webpage you will need to use php or some other scripting language i think. I myself have never used a webcam before.

RE: Webcams and php
if you want to stream the cam you'll need some type of software and a dedicated IP i'm pretty sure.. otherwise you just use your cam software to ftp an image to your server every so often, then make the page refresh with html..

RE: Webcams and php
How annoying that the post got moved!
Does anyone have any idea what software is best for ftp uploading webcam images to a website? I have tried a few free ones and their don't seem to work particulaly well. |
