bios help
hi i have a windows 98 pc and im going to format the harddisk and install redhat linux 9 on it and i need access to the bios to find out the processor speed but i cant access the bios i have tried press all the F keys and none work the pc just continues to load is there any other way to bring up the bios

What brand, or motherboard?
Typical keys: Show post info- esc, tab Enter bios- del, f1, f2, f10, f11, ctrl+alt+esc, ctrl+alt+s, ctrl+alt+insert |

its a dell opti-tech gx+ (computer not motherboard)
its an old 200mhz pc that im going to use to create a linux box on which i can experiment with different linux commands. I cannot boot from cd to install linux so i need access to the bios to enable booting from cd Any Tips would be very helpful. i have found out that it is a phoenix bios that is running and it gives no prompt on startup on how to enter the bios has anyone got any experiance with phoenix bios and how to enter it?? |

its ok ive managed to get my pc to boot up the installer for linux i created a linux boot disk but ive hit a few problems with installation im going to re-burn the redhat cd's
