conime.exe
I have process 'conime.exe' running on my WinXP. By checking on Google, it says: 'This backdoor application can allow attackers to access your computer, stealing passwords and personal data. It is a registered security risk and should be removed immediately.'
I don't know which software brought this process. I terminated it through the task manager, but sometimes it comes back automatically. Could someone tell me how to complete kill it. Thanks a lot. |

RE: conime.exe
First of all, kill the process. Then go to Start->Run->msconfig->Startup, and tell it not to start conime.exe at when the system boots. Then find the actual conime.exe file and remove it. Then run a virus scan, a Spybot scan and an Ad-Aware scan to be almost sure there aren't other spy or backdoor programs.
