default.ida

I have a question about default.ida--- i have seen it like 5 times in my log files and have read alittle about it, searching the internet. Now i have windows xp with all critical updates installed so does this request for default.ida normal. I have read that if you have Apache installed nothing to worry? Any help or information would be great.

Thanks

RE: default.ida

Really not sure, when i saw it in my access log file i went and looked up information on it. Said something about it is a Code Red thing. Some information i read said not to worry if you have updated your software with a patch. Im on Windows Xp and have downloaded all critical updates. Also I think i read that Windows Xp the newwer version isnt affect if the Service pack SP1 is installed. Just hoping that this is true dont need any fricken virus if you know what i mean.

RE: default.ida

It is a Microsoft Worm virus. It contacts other Microsoft servers trying to replicte itself. If it shows a failure on yours you are OK.

I actually see calls for it in my Linux server logs too. It is trying every server to replicate itself
