Finding the php binary (or even if it's installed)
Ok, don't laugh, I'm working on a Linux 2.4.20-6um #1 host with php v4.1.2

I need to find the php binary and doing "locate php | more" just isn't helpful.

It's not in /usr/local/bin/ I've checked there

Any ideas?

maybe the php is compiled as an apache module, and doesn't have a (stand alone or CGI) binary at all?

Thats your kernel level, not your release, and that kernel isnt ancient at all, being used by Red Hat 9 I think. Anyway, try this:

find / -name "php*"

Anything PHP will show up as a result.

I think I'm going to have to accept that I don't have the binary.
