how to create alias in apache?
hi all,
i am not sure if i should post this here but here goes anyway. u see, i don't know how to create a subdomain(i know that we can't control it unless we open up the server and create it there). now u see, i want to create something like mivec.mydomain.com. how do i craete this? and how do i make it where the user can name his/her domain by their own preferences? i was told about alias but i hvnt got a clue about whats taht. can some one tell me how to do this??it's urgent.thank you.thank you

To do what you want to do, you need to create virtual domains for each in the httpd.conf file. You are better off doing a
www.yourdomain.com/user
