  1. what does Addtype application/x-httpd-php-source .phps mean? I know is used if you want source viewing but I still dont know whta it is

Just means that any script with a phps extension will show the code with highlighting when you hit it in your browser....

In a nut shell. Apache has to know how to handle an extention .php, .html, .gif Etc.. Etc.. That tells apache what to do with it is it an application? ok Apache know to execute it. Is it an image then apache knows to stream it for display.
