Redhat 9 -> Apache 2.0.48 -> proFTPd
Hi:
I currently am running my website coopercentral.org (24.169.144.218) on my Redhat Linux 9 box. I have Apache with PHP and MySQL setup. I have proFTPd running as well. This is just a little question but, I can access my FTP by going to: ftp://coopercentral.org but NOT ftp.coopercentral.org or ftp://ftp.coopercentral.org Do I have to setup a DNS record to point ftp.coopercentral.org to 24.169.144.218? Is there anything I should do for that to work? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!!! |

Yes, you'll need to add a dns entry, though there isn't much point in it if all entries are going to the same machine.

Quote:
It should take effect immediately if the change was on your server, and it isnt cached anywhere, which it shouldnt be, because it was never resolved before. |
