Sending Mail problems with exim 4.34

Hi,
I have a VDS (Redhat Linux Enterprise) it all seems to work fine apart from a little problem with the mail service. I use exim as it came pre-installed with the VDS for my mail, i can receive on all my accounts but i cannot send. I just keep getting the same error (Cannot connect to mail server: SMTP: mail.mydomain.com connection refused)

Something along the lines of that error, i setup the config of the server using cpanel/whm which came pre-installed on the server (Not that its a bad thing having some free software) including the mail setup so i dont see why it wont work.

Has anyone come across anything like this? Any help would be appreciated.

-Andrew

RE: Sending Mail problems with exim 4.34

Ive been reading through the exim logs and i find all the mail that is sent gets the following error:
Code:
Unroutable Domain, You are not allowed to relay mail through this server.

It just seems to never work, about 1 week ago it worked fine now it just doesnt send the mail but will receive it though.

RE: Sending Mail problems with exim 4.34

Fixed it, Firstly i was using outlook and it wasnt setup to use SMTP authentication so i fixed that. Then on the server side of things the domains i was sending from were not in the /etc/localdomains file that exim uses so after adding them it worked fine. (I explained what i did because some unlucky person who gets this problem might need it)
