Add Users, Email on Event Modification.

Not sure if anyones interested:- I have modified the calendar to do the following.
1. Have a selection to addusers, this appears down the bottom when anyone is logged on (drawback is any user can add, delete, modify another users details), it also saves having to run the install script every time, and having the install script uploaded onto your server.
2. Add users also has the ability to have email address's and a notify selection.
3. The add users allows you to change passwords, emails, activate/deactivate the notify selection, and delete user.
4. The notify selection is used so that when an event is added, edited, deleted that everyone who has admin rights (user list) with the notify selection checked will be emailed the change's, with all the event details.
5. Added a location field to the events list, this is to put the address of the event in the calendar.
6. Used and modified showlister (someone elses script that lists events in a table) so that the events can be displayed as a list on a diferent page, only showing new events, old events are filtered out. This allows the visitors to select which method they would like to view the events (calendar or list).

My coding is not the best, but it works, (I have tried to follow the same style used in ltw_calendar) if anyone is interested I will email you the code changes, and SQL stuff, maybe they can be cleaned up and added to a next release if the demand is high enough.

Fantastic Calendar program, thanks.

RE: Add Users, Email on Event Modification.

I would like to see the code!
I am working (for matt) on the next version of the calendar (4.0) which includes:

USER Changes:
1) User Privledges (Read/Add/Edit/Delete/Logs/Admin)
2) User Status (Account locked, change pw next login)
3) User Management (Add/update/delete), including password, status & privledges
4) User Login & change logging to a db table
5) Auto account locking if x bad logins in y seconds
6) [Optional] Login required to read Calendar

Event Changes:
1) Multi Day Events (yea Matt, I decided to Add it)
2) Event change (add/edit/delete) logging to a db table
3) Event Add/change/Delete based on user privledges

Category Changes:
1) Category change logging to a db table.
2) Category Add/update/delete based on user privledges

General Changes:
1) View Logs online with appropriate privledges.
2) Most functions (user mgt, category mgt, event/day/month display, etc) are now in separate PHP files so that code gets loaded/parsed only when needed. The reason is that ltw_classes was getting VERY big and parsing a lot of code that was never used each time thru.
3) general code cleanup
4) Planned user/admin manual

I'm ~ 80% done, and would be interested in seeing what you have done. I don't know if I'd add it the V4.0, but maybe you could add it after this release and take credit for V5! Matt won't mind!

Email it to me here at login id prrk47002
Thanks!

RE: Add Users, Email on Event Modification.

Marius.
I looked at the code you sent. It will be easy to integrate into the work I am doing, so I will add it to the next release.
